Brit Street Records

Brit Street Records is an independent, artist-owned record label and music company founded by Paula Laubach in Austin, Texas.

With firsthand experience as a musician, a Master's in Business, a Master's in Project Management, and years of professional leadership and management experience, Paula brings both a creative and operational perspective to Brit Street Records. The label was built around an understanding that independent music requires more than great songs. Artists are also navigating promotion, release strategy, media, live opportunities, industry relationships, timelines, budgets, and the many moving pieces involved in building a sustainable career.

That perspective continues to shape Brit Street Records today.

Brit Street takes an artist-first, non-traditional approach to the music business. We believe artists should be able to maintain their creative identity and control while benefiting from the organization, strategy, professional relationships, and promotional infrastructure traditionally associated with a label.

We also believe those relationships should be transparent, flexible, and built around the individual artist rather than a one-size-fits-all model. As Brit Street grows, the focus is not on building the largest roster possible, but on working selectively with artists whose music, goals, and values align with the label.

Over the years, Brit Street Records has worked across independent releases, artist promotion, media outreach, live music, and events including Underground Rising. Those experiences have helped build relationships with DJs, curators, media outlets, promoters, labels, and other industry partners while providing a firsthand understanding of the challenges independent artists face in getting their music heard.

Today, Brit Street Records continues to develop its reach as an independent label, supporting music we believe in while building a network capable of creating meaningful opportunities for artists. As the label grows, so does the vision: to develop a selective roster of independent artists who value creative freedom, professionalism, collaboration, and long-term growth.

Brit Street Records was built by an artist who understands both sides of the equation—the creative work and the business required to move that work forward.
